In this article, I would like to share with you my knowledge of cheongsam.
The cheongsam was invented in the early 1920s by Shanghai people who combined Chinese and Western styles, combining the Manchu cheongsam with Western tailoring.
As the beauties of both Shanghai and Hong Kong (thanks to the many Shanghainese beauties who emigrated to Hong Kong and were involved in building the beauty of Hong Kong) had the most opportunities to present themselves on the international stage, it led to foreigners seeing the cheongsam as the national costume of Chinese women.
The cheongsam is characterised by its elegant sensuality and exquisite details. The fitted cut leads to sensuality, while the traditional Chinese decorative art achieves elegance and refinement. The lapels are richly decorated, the handwork of the panelled buttons is amazing, the finishing of the edges is exquisite, and if you add artistic additions such as embroidery by highly skilled embroiderer or hand painting by handcrafts artist, it will be a very expensive work of art.
If you are a Chinese girl, how can you not have a made-to-measure cheongsam of your own?
